Metastibnite is a rare antimony sulfide mineral and a Dimorph of Stibnite. It has the same chemical composition, but unlike Stibnite is amorphous in crystal structure. It is much rarer than Stibnite but occurs together with it.

The type locality for this mineral is Steamboat Springs, Washoe County, Nevada where it forms in red crusts and splotches. Botryoidal gray Metastibnite has come from the San Jose Mine, Oruro, Bolivia.
