Description |
Tantalite-(Mn) specimens from this well-known pegmatite locality are rare and seldom available. This excellent, well-striated blade has a chisel termination and sharp, tapered edges to go along with the high luster. Most of the crystal appears to be black, but the "glow" shot reveals translucent, red spots on the lustrous face. It is actually brighter and far more intense in person. This is an excellent example of this uncommon pegmatite species from this locality. Ex. Herb Obodda. |
