Description |
A crystallized piece of Magnetite from an old abandoned iron mine in the Ramapo Mountains of New York. Most of the iron ore mined in the region is massive and ugly - one rarely sees crystallized examples like this one. The crystals are stacked octahedrons with cleavage markings and is associated with dark green Diopside in a Calcite/marble matrix. |
