Our Detailed Tucson Show Reports
Minerals.net has the best photo coverage of the Tucson shows, with a detailed description and excellent photos of all the important ones. All our posts are up, with hundreds high-res pictures of the events.
One of the highlights of the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show® is the public display exhibits that are organized by various private collectors, dealers, and museums. The sheer quantity and quality of these public displays are unrivaled anywhere. There are over one hundred display cases filled with some of the most amazing and iconic mineral specimens in the world!
We took hundreds of photos on site, and are happy to present our audience with a taste of the happenings here. Our reports are comprehensive and detailed, and we have about 85% of all the display exhibits from the show photographed. Our show reports will contain high-resolution images of the public exhibits, individual minerals in the exhibits, and new and interesting minerals shown to us by certain dealers.

Unfortuneately we entirely missed the displays dedicated to Rock Currier, who sadly passed away this year. Rock (yes, that’s his real name) was an important personality known to many mineral enthusiasts for his knowledge and background. I was privelaged to chat with him many times over the years, and was especially active on Mindat checking to make sure everything is always accurate. Rock’s collection was legendary, and I am proud to say that I have some specimens in my collection attributed to him.
We are looking to get some outside photos of the displays dedicated to Rock, and will post them should we get good ones that we can use. |
