Welcome to the Minerals.net Newsletter
Welcome to the March edition of our newsletter. This covers our trip to Tucson and all the buzz that accompanies it. We have also completed the Mineral Trivia Raffle and have picked three lucky winners. Overall the last two months were great for our website, with many new people spreading the word and discovering it.
Actually, we have three winners! We drew the winning contestants this past Saturday, and all three winners won fantastic specimens! The lucky winners are:
John Colangeli - Won the Prehnite Snakehead from Lower New Street, Paterson, N.J.
Roger Robinson - Won the Giant Apatite in Matrix from the Yates Mine, Otter Lake, Quebec
Tracy Liu - Won the Thick Copper Dendrite from the Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan

The Tucson 2012 Shows
Hershel Friedman once again made his rounds at the various shows in Tucson this year, with a special emphasis on the Westward Look, InnSuites, Pueblo, and the main Convention Center show. Besides for spreading the word about the website, Hershel made important contacts with many fine mineral and gemstone dealers.
Many great mineral photos were taken by Hershel at the different shows, and the best of these photos are posted on our show report in the blog. You can see them here:
- The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show (The Main Show)
- The InnSuites Show, Part 2
- The Pueblo Show
- The InnSuites Show, Part 1
- The Westward Look Show
We have also added many of the photos we took to the mineral detail pages as new photos. |
Tucson 2012 Mineral Video
We are in the midst of putting together a short video of the Tucson shows this year. The video will highlight many fine specimens encountered at the Tucson shows. Stay tuned as we'll have this ready soon.
