Description |
A large hexagonal crystal of Graphite as a thin plate on matrix. There are several crystals that form in this habit on the specimen. The crystals are so then they can be bent (Graphite is flexible.) Graphite is fairly common throughout the Hudson Highlands and is easily identifiable by its properties. This find represents some of the best graphite in the Highlands region with some of the largest crystals. |
